Youth Events Calendar – 2009/2010
PURPOSE STATEMENT
To REACH the world with the good news of Jesus Christ as we PREACH and teach God’s truth, PRAY for one another, and GROW deeper in our love for God and our neighbors.
CORE VALUES STATEMENT
God’s Word is our guide, authority , and conscience in everything. We stand firm where it stands firm. We believe that the Bible is to be taught and applied to lives with equal passion. We seek to know and live the Scriptures. The best theology is an applied theology.
We believe life-change happens best in the context of relationships.
We value honest relationships where truth is spoken in love and every member take responsibility for the well being and reputations of others they know in the body.
We do not believe that prayer in merely preparation for the work.
We believe prayer is continually an essential part of the work.
In response to Christ’s directive to spread His Good News around the world, we use a multi-faceted approach in helping reach today’s world. Our church takes a servant approach in equipping and supporting various indigenous ministries that have proven effective in our time. We encourage members to serve abroad. In addition we seek to involve our church in projects to communicate the Gospel worldwide.
YOUTH EVENTS CALENDAR 2009/2010
September
- September 12, Sat. Paintball. Meet at Church at 11:00 a.m. Cost is $20.00, limited scholarships available.
October
- October 3, Sat. Corn Maze. Meet at Church at 5:00 p.m. Cost is $12.00 for corn maze and meal, limited scholarships available.
- October 9, Fri. Meeting at Phillips for Fall Harvest planning. Meet at 6:00 p.m. Food will be provided.
- October 30, Fri. Meet at Church at 5:00 p.m. for decorating the RAC
- October 31, Sat. Fall Harvest outreach 7:00 til 9:00 p.m.
November
- November 14, Sat. Supper and Mudbugs game. Meet at Church at 5:00 p.m. Cost is $12.00, limited scholarships available.
- November 22-24. YEC 2009. We will depart after morning service. Cost is $70.00, pays for conference, food, and lodging. Students will need to bring $5.00 for lunch on the way home. Limited scholarships available.
December
- December 3 and 4th, Christmas walk through. Time will be announced
- December 12, Sat. Youth Christmas party. Youth will meet at church at 5PM and head to Wonderland of Lights in Marshall, Texas to look at Christmas lights, go ice skating, and have supper. The cost to skate will be $10.00 – everything else will be covered. See Bro. Danny with questions!
