About us
Waller Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist denomination. Baptists are a people who profess a living faith. That faith is rooted in God’s only Son, Jesus Christ who is “the same yesterday, today, and forever.” The sole authority for faith and practice is the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament.
We at Waller Baptist Church believe:
- the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, and inspired Word of God and has been divinely protected through the ages,
- in the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit,
- in the deity of Jesus Christ and His virgin birth,
- in the forgiveness of sin through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ,
- that salvation is by grace through faith,
- that Jesus Christ will return.
Purpose Statement
To REACH the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ as we PREACH and TEACH God’s truth, PRAY for one another, and GROW deeper in our love for God and our neighbors.
Core Values Statement

God’s Word is our guide, authority, and conscience in everything. We stand firm where it stands firm. We believe that the Bible is to be taught and applied to lives with equal passion. We seek to know and live the Scriptures. The best theology is an applied theology.
We believe life-change happens best in the context of relationships. We value honest relationships where truth is spoken in love and every member takes responsibility for the well being and reputation of others they know in the body.
We do not believe that prayer is merely preparation for the work. We believe prayer is continually an essential part of the work.
In response the to Christ’s directive to spread His Good News around the world, we use a multifaceted approach in helping reach today’s world. Our church takes a servant approach in equipping and supporting various indigenous ministries that have proven effective in our time. We encourage members to serve abroad. In addition we seek to involve our church in projects to communicate the Gospel worldwide.

How to Become a Waller member:
Waller Baptist Church is a body of believers united by our desire to follow Jesus Christ and committed to fulfilling the purposes set forth in our Mission Statement. If you desire to join with us and will be supportive of the beliefs, fellowship, and mission of our church, we warmly invite you to become a member. Here are the three steps to becoming a member:
- Present yourself for membership during any Worship Service
When the invitation is given at the end of the message, our Pastor will invite those who desire to become members of Waller to come to the front of the Worship Center. A minister will greet you and introduce you to a friend, who will accompany you to a quieter place where you will be guided in your decision. - Express your desire for membership through one of the following means:
- a. Profession of faith
If you have never received Jesus as Savior and Lord and/or never publicly confessed Him, you will be given an opportunity to do so. After your decision has been confirmed, an appointment will be made for your baptism at Waller.b. Transfer of membership from another Southern Baptist Church
If you are currently a member of another Southern Baptist Church, we will receive you as a member upon promise of a letter from that church. Waller will contact that church to notify them of your decision and request your letter.c. Statement of faith
If you know in your heart that you have previously experienced salvation by receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord, we will be happy to receive you. It will be necessary for you to be baptized at Waller if you have never been baptized by immersion after your salvation experience or if you were baptized in a church which holds a different view of salvation, baptism, or eternal security than the Baptist denomination. - Each new member is encouraged to attend the “Way to Membership” Class - This special orientation class for all new members will give you essential information to help you become a fulfilled, functioning member of our church. Charting out a plan of “Way To” classes for your first year at Waller, this class will show you how to begin building relationships in our church and will help you understand all the benefits and responsibilities of membership.
We invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a member of our church family.
